AMIULÉT
Do's and Don'ts
Understand essential guidelines for properly handling and caring for your amulet. Follow these to ensure your amulet remains effective and respectful. Learn how to handle it with care, avoid common mistakes, and maintain its spiritual integrity.
Handling Guide
Always handle your amulets with clean hands.
Respectful Wearing
Show respect to your amulets by wearing those with Buddha, Deity, or Monk images around your neck or above your waist.
Takrut Placement
Place Takruts (amulets without Buddha, Monk, or Deity images) in your pocket unless instructed otherwise.
Hygiene Awareness
Avoid wearing amulets on the hand you use to wipe yourself in the bathroom.
Chemical Protection
Protect your amulets from tarnishing by avoiding contact with chemicals such as perfumes, sanitizers, and soaps.
Moisture Prevention
Do not shower, swim, or soak your amulets in water to prevent moisture issues. When washing your hands, move your amulets up your arm or remove them entirely. If any water gets on your amulets, use a dry cloth or tissue to clean it and leave to air dry in a well ventilated environment.
Cleansing Ritual
To cleanse your amulet from daily wear, use a clean tissue moistened with mineral water to gently wipe down your amulets. This helps maintain hygiene and dispel negative energy, especially if someone else has touched your amulets.
Women's Guidance
Refrain from directly touching your amulets during your menstrual period. You may continue praying to your amulets stored in their blessed pouches.
Amulet Quantity
For optimal results, wear amulets in odd numbers such as 1, 3, 5, etc., to maintain balance and respect between the different levels of Buddha, Monk, or Deity amulets when worn as a necklace.
Daily Incantation
Begin your day by chanting the Namotassa mantra before wearing your amulets. Focus on one wish for the day, wear them with faith, and be open to receive their blessings.
